Learn about her motivations, favorite aspects of working with us, and tips for those embarking on a career as a substitute teacher.</p><h3>Why did you become a Substitute Teacher?</h3><p>I became a substitute to gain experience and make a positive impact on students' lives. I plan on becoming a Dual Immersion classroom teacher one day and being a substitute has been a great way to explore what I look for in schools I would want to work at. I like the rewarding experience that comes with teaching and helping students reach their full potential. I enjoy fostering students' learning and growth while being a source of inspiration and guidance.</p><h3>What do you like about Cross Country Education?</h3><p>I like the constant communication that Cross Country Education provides. They are always available to answer any questions or concerns regarding the assignments. CCE also provides resources to ensure your success. I like the many resources available for the subs ranging from classroom management training to Common Core lesson planning.</p><h3>What have you liked about your experience working at schools with Cross Country Education?</h3><p>I like the variety of schools I get to work at because I get an idea of what kind of work environment I would like to be in. It's fascinating to observe the different approaches to education throughout various schools. I also like that I get to expand my professional network by making connections with educators from different schools.</p><h3>What kind of advice would you give to those starting out in your field?</h3><p>My advice would be to be patient and empathetic towards the students. Patience goes a long way when it comes to teaching and it's important for the students to feel that they have the support and can take their time to overcome the challenges they face while learning.
