<h2>Locum Tenens Nurse Midwife Pay</h2>
<p> Nurse midwives who work as locum tenens contractors have the potential to 
	earn even more than their salaried counterparts. Locum tenens CNMs are usually 
	considered 1099 independent contractors rather than W-2 employees. Because they 
	work for themselves, locum tenens nurse midwives forego certain benefits of being 
	an employee, but in return, they can earn a 
	higher per-hour rate, as much as 25%, depending on their assignment.</p>

	<h2>Demand for Nurse Midwives</h2>
	<p>The demand for CNMs is expected to increase faster than other jobs 
		in the U.S. The BLS expects the employment of CRNAs to grow by 7% to 
		8,700 jobs over the next decade.
