 Travel nurses and allied healthcare professionals nationwide are counting down the 
 days to the biggest event of the year: TravCon 2023. This is your chance to meet 
 hiring managers at hospitals and staffing agencies, bond with your fellow healthcare 
 travel professionals and in many cases, make new lifelong friends. The four-day 
 extravaganza takes place at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas from September 17-20, 
 and if you’re traveling from another state to attend, there are a few things 
 should know to make the most 
 of your experience. Here’s a readiness checklist to get you started:

<h2>Be Sure to Pack Comfortable Shoes</h2>
<p> 
  This probably goes without saying but expect to do a LOT of walking during TravCon 2023. 
  You’ll get your steps in and then some walking from booth to booth at the main event, 
  and then you’re sure to do even more walking at night as you take in the sights and 
  sounds of Sin City. Of course, in addition to your comfy daytime shoes, you’ll 
  probably want to include some pool slides and party shoes for the many exciting 
  events you’ll be attending, including the legendary TravCon after-party event 
  at Drai's Dayclub and Nightclub at The Cromwell Las Vegas.

<h2>Be Sure to Also Pack Layers</h2>
<p> The weather in the Las Vegas area has been similar to much of the country this 
  summer – steamy hot! Currently, the weather is forecast to be in the low 90s during 
  the day, and the low 70s at night. Expect dry, hot weather with very little rain, 
  if any, during the day, and a nice cool down at night. Definitely bring a light 
  sweater or jacket just in case the temperature drops more than expected.

<h2> Create a Schedule with Alerts in Your Phone</h2>
<p> TravCon can be a bit overwhelming with swarms of people and exhibitors vying for your 
  attention at every turn, and the time will definitely seem to fly. To make sure you don’t 
  miss any presentations or classes you plan to attend, create a schedule in your phone 
  to alert you 30 minutes prior to your can’t-miss events. That will give you enough 
  time to finish any conversations you may be having or demonstrations you may be 
  watching and get where you need to be in plenty of time. Also, if there are any 
  specific exhibitors you want to see, be sure to write down their booth numbers 
  to make finding them easier.

<h2> Bring A Tote Bag to Carry Your Swag</h2>
<p> It’s true. Collecting swag is one of the very best parts of TravCon. Bring a tote 
  bag with you to carry all the gadgets and keepsakes you’ll likely collect. While 
  you’re at it, be sure to leave extra room in your suitcase to take your swag home 
  with you. If you are able to check an extra piece of luggage, you may want to pack 
  an empty duffle bag which you can fill and then check in before you board your 
  plane home.

<h2>Pack Plenty of Hand Sanitizer </h2>
<p> The COVID-19 pandemic may be a thing of the past but you more than anyone know 
  that germs of all kinds are very much a part of the present! Speaking of COVID, 
  numbers have been climbing nationwide, so if this concerns you, consider getting a 
  vaccine update before you travel. And while not required at the conference or any 
  of the related events, 
  you are welcome to wear a face mask if it makes you feel more comfortable.
