Physician / Urology

• Work Dates Needed: May - Ongoing 2025 Specific dates on request
• Preferred Schedule:    M-F weekdays (7a-7a) Call; Weekend call Fri@5p to Mon@7a; Due to schedule accommodations, we will need the locums to be flexible as the schedule may be different from month to month ; (Example: may work Monday to Monday, Friday to Friday, etc.); coverage day and night at two Locations 
• Worksite Setting: -Patient volume is 0-10 patients on the Uro service daily -Consults between the 2 hospitals avg 4/day -Adult only age 18+ -The group covers all urological procedures including covering the level 1 trauma center. -coverage all new inpatient & ER consults at both hospitals -coverage of the inpatient service as well as the occasional transfer presenting to the hospitals.  -Depending on the patient, there are opportunities for elective surgeries as well.  -There are nurse practitioners at each hospital during the weekdays; general inpatient coverage to include ER Call.  Neonate and ped not required - Adults only.  
• Scope of Work: full cystoscopy suite with all the appropriate endoscopic equipment and holmium laser.  There is also robotics and laparoscopy at both sites. Urology department with 4 NPs, 1 AP, patients per day average 10, Adult population; 7 surgeries per week; 641 beds total; Laparoscopic surgery, Radical cystectomy w/ileo-loop conduit, Radical prostatectomy, Nephrectomy, Pelvic node dissection, robotic surgery, partial nephrectomies/intraoperative u/s, Renal and bladder u/s w/biopsy, TRUS biopsies, Incontinence procedures, penile prosthesis, ESWL, Brachytherapy. Robotics is a plus.
• Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Must be BC, prefer local candidates with a SC license, however, if candidates need to be licensed, this is on a situational basis; DEA, certificate for Holmium laser preferred, CSR, BLS, 2 years experience; ABMS/AOA, BLS, CSR required - YES
