$31.25 - $36.25 per hour | K-12 Substitute Teaching Roles

At Cross Country Education, we offer Substitute Teachers both long-term and day-to-day placements in schools across Los Angeles, allowing you to choose assignments that fit your availability and goals. Whether you're looking for consistent work or more variety in your schedule, all roles follow the regular school-day hours and allow you to enjoy summers and school breaks off.

What You’ll Do:

  • Implement lesson plans and classroom activities in the teacher’s absence
  • Assign and collect classwork and homework as directed
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, supportive learning environment
  • Supervise students during transitions, including to/from the classroom, lunchroom, and playground (when applicable)
  • Communicate with school staff as needed to support student learning
  • Perform related duties as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • A valid 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or a California K–12 Teaching Credential
