Are you a passionate and fully credentialed Speech-Language Pathologist or a recent graduate eager to complete your Clinical Fellowship? Cross Country Education is searching for Speech Language Pathologists in Blue Island, IL for the '25 to '26 School Year!

Position Overview: 

  • The SLP will be responsible for screening, assessing, and identifying students with communication disorders that adversely affect their educational progress.
  • Develops and provides direct and indirect services within the student’s educational setting according to the goals and objectives of the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
  • Collaborates with other classroom teachers and related service providers in the development and implementation of best practices, thus ensuring that the student’s needs are met in all school settings.

Qualifications: 

  • Current and valid PEL with a Speech Language Pathologist (teaching or non-teaching) endorsement;
  • Master's Degree and Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology required;
  • Knowledge of the principles and techniques of speech-language therapy;
  • Knowledge of the methods and procedures for the assessment and treatment of communication disorders;
  • Ability to develop, evaluate, and modify IEPs based on assessment data;
  • Ability to establish a positive rapport with students;
  • Understands the importance of communicating and working closely with the families of students;
  • Able to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement best practices designed to ensure that a student’s needs are met in all school settings;
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to prepare and deliver written and oral summaries of evaluations and other reports to colleagues and families;
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
