This opportunity allows you to provide meaningful support and build a rewarding professional connection with a student throughout the summer and the 2026–2027 academic year.
Position Overview:
- Provide continuous 1:1 nursing support for a high school student with complex neurological and mobility-related medical needs.
- Monitor for seizure activity, follow emergency response protocols, and administer prescribed rescue medication as needed to maintain student safety in the school environment.
- Assist with all activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, hydration, mobility support, positioning, toileting, and personal care.
- Collaborate with school staff, caregivers, and healthcare providers to ensure consistent implementation of the student’s individualized care plan throughout the summer session (6/15/26 - 7/2/26) and school year (starting 8/26/26).
Qualifications:
- Valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse License
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged individuals with complex medical or mobility needs
- Ability to provide full physical assistance for a student who uses a wheelchair and requires total support for transfers and personal care
