Caring with Purpose
In 2021, we nearly quadrupled our number of new hires, hiring approximately 1,127 new employees compared to 321 in 2020. Our total percentage of corporate minority employees was at our highest level in a decade and in line with the national average. Additionally, our employee turnover rate decreased from 22% in 2020 to 21%.
For Our Communities
Cross Country Cares (Community, Aid, Relief, Education, Services), the company’s charitable contributions and sponsorship committee, aims to create a better future for our communities by supporting local and national non-profit organizations through financial contributions and in-kind services. In 2021, the committee created opportunities for employees to raise more than $175,000 to benefit organizations including Light the Night, Random Acts of Flowers, Spirit of Giving Network, Kids in Need Foundation and Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Cross Country also made financial gifts to various causes during 2021, including its annual Florida Atlantic University Nursing Scholarship, Delray Beach Youth Tennis Foundation, Education Foundation of Palm Beach County and the American Red Cross.
For Our Environment
We are dedicated to being eco-conscious for our people, business and community. Together, we aim to offset our carbon footprint by reducing, reusing and recycling. In 2021, Cross Country disposed of and recycled an estimated 2001 pounds of e-waste.
We continue to have the highest rated score of “1” for governance and have worked diligently to improve our social and environmental scores to “1” and “2,” respectively.
In honor of our 35th anniversary, we partnered with One Tree Planted to plant 350 trees across Florida on World Ozone Day in 2021.
