Job Summary:
This healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Englewood, Colorado. The position involves providing specialized care for obstetric patients in a busy Labor & Delivery unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with experienced staff and advanced equipment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Englewood, Colorado
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience; certifications including NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS (Basic Life Support), and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) and AWHONN (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses) preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Comfort with unblocked/unepiduralized patients; strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas; experience with mom/baby and couplet care; proficiency in procedures such as cerclages, versions, C-sections, vaginal deliveries, Dilation & Curettage, care of fetal demise, and epidurals; ability to circulate C-section procedures; capable of caring for both low risk and high risk obstetric patients.
  • Additional Information: The unit utilizes GE fetal monitor systems and traditional EMR systems including CPN and Meditech. Patient ratios are approximately 1:2, which can fluctuate based on acuity. The ideal candidate exhibits strong teamwork, leadership, cheerfulness, and exceptional patient experience skills.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
